myth buster?

i heard from a friend that marajuana grows naturally in ohio, does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

 

marijuana can grow wild almost anywhere.

 

yea it can grow wild basically anywhere.. the odds of you finding wild growing mj in ohio tho is very slim, and even if you do, the odds of it being considered anything higher then schwag is even lower

 

It's called "weed" for a reason. A friend of mine went to kansas and claims to have seen it growing wild in a few spots. Honestly, I think he was full of shit, but hey, I've never been anywhere near kansas, so who knows.

Rolling Kansas is a great fucking movie. Sometime, I'ma take a road trip to that spot in Kansas, soon as I can get a screenshot of the map. Anyone know of a free program that can take screenshots of dvds?

 

Hemp used to be a major farm product, back in the day. Alot of it escapes into the wild (bird prefer hemp seeds to any other), so little patches of it pops up everywhere, it's really hard to exterminate any alien species of plant, even if it's illegal. Pot used to grow in ditches across the road ways across the country, it's mainly hemp, and really terrible to smoke (ever wonder where the term 'ditch weed' came from?).
A friend of mine in High school lived in a house that bordered an abandoned hemp platation, little patches would pop up in his back yard all the time.

 

How can you tell if the wild weed is shwag or not?

 

Trust me weed grows wild in kansas, i have pics of me around 12 years old next to plants taller than me. but no buds

 

same way you can tell if the bud you buy is schwag or not.. all you have to do it look at it and smell it

 

damn didnt know it grows well in ks during summer should i just plant 5 seeds of nug water every day and see wat happens?

Oh yeah, that's not a myth. Marijuana naturally grows all over North America. That's why it's crazy that they've made something that naturally grows here illegal.

 

k fellas ive lived in ks my whole life and no, it doesnt just grow everywhere in ks..matter of fact ive only seen it growing wild in one spot and NO wild ditch weed is worth smoking so dont come to ks looking for a dream grow like the movie rolling ks cause its nothing like that and even if you found some it would NOT be worth smoking..save your time and energy and just buy it where your at.

Depends how you define naturally. It's an alien import, but it grows pretty much in every climate.

 

What grows wild in the midwest IS NOT marijuana.

It's hemp.
Not the same thing.
Just like there's a difference between a Mercedes and a Yugo.

Wild hemp grows taller than marijuana, and isn't nearly as "lush" /bushy.
And it doesn't get you high. (makes great rope tho, in case there's a hangin').

Marijuana is much harder to grow. I've been growing pot for close to 40 years, have hiked well over a thousand miles poking around the woods, and I've only come across wild pot twice.
Once it was in an area where thousands of pot seeds had been thrown out of car windows in a parking lot and they got washed into a stream and a few were able to put down roots, but they grew small and spindly.
The other time was a small patch in the woods that for some reason were never harvested from the previous years. They seeded and 1 plant grew from probably thousands.
If you wanna grow marijuana, you're gonna need to prep the soil, supply the plant with nutrients, make sure it gets water at least twice/week,
and treat it with lots of TLC.
Do this and you'll get ounces of buds per plant.

 

I thought that marijuana sativa was exclusively native to Kyrgyzstan,Poland, Bulgaria, parts of China, India, Nepal and that Indica was native to Afghanistan and Morocco.


I was pretty sure that it was native to those areas and brought here through trade or something of the sort.

I've been told that pot grows wild all around the base of Mt. Everest.
