I got accepted to Ohio University, SUNY Albany, and today got a letter from Bridgewater State College..... I can't make a decision. I made pro/con lists.....

Has anyone heard anything about the schools?

my best advice is vistit them all and ask current students what they think. school reps and the students that give tours are the ones that will tell you how wonderful their school is. ask around on campus for real opinions. myspace has a place where you can add schools....add the school to read what people post about them...your only supposed to add school you go/went to but it is a good way to get some input on them. good luck choosing and congrats on the all the acceptances.

Well I am checking a book out from the library. Ohio and Albany are both on the top 361 colleges in the country. Bridgewater wasn't. I don't have the time nor the money to visit both schools, so I need to make a decision other ways. Thanks, I am proud too I think. No one has really said congrats, except my pals.

I know Ohio sucks, but no less then Michigan :p

I can be so bull headed. If it ain't in my state, school wise that is, then I don't care :p I kid, but really I don't know about many schools outside of Michigan unless they are big schools.

I prefer Michigan over Ohio anyday LOL. I go to school at University of Toledo, so I experience MIchigan AND OHio in the same day. World of difference.

I live in Michigan and go to school in Ohio...I am in two states in one day...so I can compare them pretty well...it seems as if as soon as you cross the border...Ohio immediately looks and feels different.

Two of my cousins go to the university of toledo. Can't say it holds any appeal to me.

OU is okay if you like large state schools. I know many people that attend there, and they all love it. Personally, I would never go there, but my friend just got accepted there as well. If you're looking for a large state school and enjoy partying you should have a great time. That isn't to say that the academics are easy though.

OU is very different from University of Toledo. Different parts of Ohio. Athens is a pretty cool place.

    Good Luck.

OU is a large school? Whoa, news to me. I was under the grand impression it was a small school. Anywho I bet it can't be bigger then SUNY Albany. I think actually I am leaning more towards OU for certain reasons which I don't want to go into grand detail with. I am checking out a book from the library on schools so I will compare and contrast soon enough.

Oh I agree but climate wise they are the same, and to me that is enough said. Ohio is kind of stark whereas Mi, atleast the area I live isn't. I have lived all over the country and think this is one change I think that I am looking forward to, I have lived in the city before and in a town.

Wow, well OU is bigger then SUNY, and they have the better professors. Problems: both huge party schools.

    Sidenotes:
SUNY is more diverse with the students and have larger student to prof ratio.

OU doesn't have off campus housing help.

    OU has about 18,000 students.

I don't know if that's considered large, but for me that's a big school.

Yeah it is a few thousand bigger then SUNY. They have a nice campus too, a little spread out but it is pretty. They have nice facilities it seems.

Anything over 8000 is a huge school to me. But then again, one of my best friends considers anything less than 15,000 too small to even consider...

Have you toured all the schools? Nothing we tell you can be as important as touring and talking to students there.
