I know this should go in the "growing" subforum, but I think I'll get quicker answers this way. If, hypothetically, you got some stuff that was mostly shake, could the seeds that are always in there be grown? I always hear about hydroponics and whatnot and all these necessary conditions for growing weed, but what if you could just plant the seeds at the bottom of the bag and grow your own stuff? Anyone ever tried this?

Ok, the seeds you find in a bag of shake is exactly that, seeds. Hydroponically just means you grow it in a water based solution, rather than soil. It's just a different style grow, and can be better, depending on the time and love the grower spends on the plant. Theoretically, any plant could be hydroponic. But yes, you can grow pot from seeds outdoors. That is how it grew for thousands of years, and still does.

Only problem is that you don't know if you are going to end up with a foot tall lowryder or a seven foot monstrosity.

If you want to use little to no effort (which will pretty much get you no where) you have two options to start with. Indoors or outdoors.

Indoor, with little to no effort, plant your seed in a pot on your windowsill. you will most-likely, if watered, come out with a plant. This plant will be mostly decoration for your room, and probably smell it up a little too.

Outdoors, with little to no effort, will produce a better plant. so take your seed and plant them in a garden and water them, and you will most-likely come out with a plant. The chances of it being smokable (worthy to smoke) using little to no effort are slim to none, though it can be done.

Yeah it will work. But like eugene said, you might be in for a surprise when it comes to the size. If you want to control the growth though, you could just keep it in a smaller pot rather than a big one.
