Lighting And Flowering

    rIGHT NOW I AM IN THE GERMANATION PHASE OF MY PLANTS. I KNOW THAT YOU KEEP THE LIGHTS ON A LOT LONGER IN THIS PHASE. RIGHT NOW I HAVE THEM ON A 20/4 LIGHT PHASE. FOR HOW LONG SHOULD I KEEP THEM ON THIS LIGHT. hOW LONG SHOULD I GO BEFORE I START THE FLOWERING STAGE

    Im only a beginner, and I get the impression you are too... But I would say dont let your plants get any taller than 18 inches before you start the flowering process and switch your light to 12/12.


    Someone else might be able to be a bit more specific !?

    4-6 weeks veg time unless ya have highth issues.

    I say 16-18 hours.closer to the suns hours of buisness.it saves electricity as well. and grow am as big as you can...

    I gotta friend who knows a friend who met a friend and THAT person was wondering if placing panels of mirrors around the plants (angled up approx. 45-60 degrees) instead of Mylar would be the tits for ultimate light reflection or would it cause problems...??? Anybody here done this ? I know mirrow glass isn't cheap but I know a friend who has a friend who met a..... :)..V

    ive read that white is more reflective than mirror. mylar or flat white paint is the best. paint is easy and cheap

    Dont use mirrors,they create hot spots thatr can damage plants.Read a grow book.

    I'll take a wild guess and say it's because the white diffuses the overall light better vs. the mirror which will reflect the direct light rays onto the plant...Thanx for yer help :)...and yes, I do try to read up on growing techniques :)...It's fun :)
