Can i own a fire-arm and still Be a hippie

In Kentucky we have a law that says if domeone is trying to forceably enter your home, car, barn, ect you have the right to shoot to kill....

Well if it were up to me which it is most deffinately not. I would say that being a hippy isn't what you want to be. I have tons of guns, and i hunt and fish. I'm in the military and at some point in time for the greater good of the world, country, or home i might have to kill someone. Does any of these things make me a bad person? No it doesn't and if someone thinks it does then there is something wrong with them. I'm no hippy. I do however recycle everything i can, use as little energy and nonrenewable resources as i can. I just bought a nice spread of 40 acres to start my own homestead on in mississippi. I'm not even connecting power or phones to my place. I'll be using solar power and a backup hydroelectric plant, it's handy to have a 12 foot waterfall in the center of your property. So given my habit and diligence to keep the world alive someone folks say i'm a hippy or hippy material, but i say i am a self aware individual not that worried about what anyone else thinks.

 

well said...I don't understand this big issue about titles...why can't people live their lives with out worrying themselves about fitting into a preconceived notion of a title.....to mold your life style to fit into a "title" or "label"..... basically says you are more of a follower..than a free thinking individual... worry about living life...not fitting into a mold of someone else's idea

in my opinion it is, but go wth ur gut instinct.

 

It seems to me that it's not the gun that matters most. Look around you, we have many many things at our disposal to use as tools and they can be used for harm as well.

What matters is; how we use them.

 

just last night in my very own neighborhood there was a drive by rock throwing.i think even a window might of got broke and someone cut their finger cleaning it up.Goes to show even rocks are dangerous in the wrong hands therefore i believe i should be allowed plastic explosives and that i should be able to buy them at wallmart at a discount,cause only a fool pays full price.

it seems that people get caught up in keeping up the 'requirements' of being a hippy. there is no list of rules that defines a hippy. there is nothing wrong with owning a firearm, just dont use it for any wrong purposes. in certain circumstances owning a gun may be a blessing, who knows.

 

so i guess hitler was a hippie seeings how there are no qualifications

 

Vehicles kill each year 400.000 americans . now do you run or have nightmares about cars and trucks etc. Do Hippies drive vehicles? . etc etc

 

You tell me,how did hitler lose his hippie status?You see nothing hippish about hitler,i see nothing hippish about guns.Guns were (unlike the auto)designed for one purpose only,to kill.Kinda like good ol' adolf.
