The Dead, Tuesday, July 27 DTE Music Center, Clarkston Michigan OK OK, I know no one here probably cares, but here is the set list to the show that SWF and myself attended last night: Set 1: Playin' In The Band> 8 Miles High> Sittin' On Top Of The World Broken Arrow Ramble On Rose Built To Last Althea Like A Rolling Stone Foolish Heart Iko-Iko Set 2: @Fennario @Friend Of The Devil Tons Of Steel Pride Of Cucamonga Estimated Prophet> Drumz/Space> Days Between> Throwing Stones> Not Fade Away E: Johnny B. Goode @=Bobby acoustic Now while I am fond of of most the songs on the first set, for some reason it seemed to lack the intensity I wanted. I mean it was raining and we were soaked. The "8 Miles High" was a special treat, I was appreciative. That being said, the second set more than made up for the first!!! The accoustic "Fannario" into "Friend of the Devil" made all the headaches gettting to the show worth it. Energy Level lifted, I know SWF and myself were able to finally dance the chill away that we had been living with since we got to the arena. Now I may be wrong, I will probably hear about it if I am wrong, but I am thinking that the "Tons of Steel" just might have been the firstime They have played it since Brent Died(14 years) . I dont really care, I had only heard it done on Boot-leg cds and on the live CD "Without a Net", so it was a great song for me to experience. Warren Hayne Did A huge, tremendous job. If can catch this Line-Up, I say do it!!!!!!
this tour is already amazing....and its only begun..... i'm drooling over all the set lists i've seen so far.... i'm so glad warren decided to join the boys.....
of course they play althea the first show that i miss from the second leg! damn, oh well, i was at st louis, alpine, and deer creek which were all good shows, i just cant wait to see em again in NY!!!
Yeah the Althea was sweet, but it mighta , no it was, the mellowest Althea I ever heard. Very sit on the porch and take bong loads kinda play, but I no longer partake and I didnt have a bong anyway.....I needed energy...I was COLD AND WET!!!!!!! I think it was my favorite show ever because of who I was with at the show(sigh), but when I look back at all of them I experienced, the Fannario>Friend of the Devil/w Bobby playing accoustic......I will put it on my favorites list. I shoulda ordered the CD while I was there......but well, I have faith in a cable connection and Furthernet.......You can still order them from Dead.net anyway......if I cant find a generous taper that is.......
