Ive got a few days off so I'm not washing my hair as I think it does it good, a bit of greese never harmed anyone eh? how often do you wash yours and why? See poll above S
Usually everyday. I have baby-fine hair and it demands to be washed or else it just looks greasy and I like my hair full and bouncy. But if I have my hair French braided, I can go about 2 days without washing it, since it's all pulled back.
I voted "I don't keep track" mainly because I've washed it maybe twice in the last two years. That is, I shampoo'd it that many times; I shower pretty regularly and it does get rinsed out.
I would say that washing it is how you define it, for example a lot of people would say that rinsing it through was washing it. did your hair feel ultra clean after you'd shampooed it? S
It actually felt kind of gross. You'd think that not washing it would make it all oily, but it isn't, it just feels right this way. When I washed it, it felt wrong somehow. It was months ago so I don't really remember too well, but yeah. And no, no one has said anything to me about my hair. I can only assume that everyone else sees it the way I do, that it doesn't look gross, oily, or unwashed.
baby hair over here, and if i don't wash it ever day, i get stinky head. i hate it. must be clean, silky-soft and fresh smelling or my day sucks. i'll also get pimples all over my head if i skip cleaning my hair even one day.
I found that after I stopped washing, my head got oily, but then went back to normal after a while. by the way, who's the pissed off lookin dude in your sig? Quite the frown on that guy...
It's actually better NOT to wash your hair often. Shampoo strips your hair of natural oils that make your hair look clean and healthy. I remember before I had dreads, I'd go five or six days without washing and after I washed my hair and it dried, it looked so silky and shiny.
i was my hair whenever i take a bath... so once or twice a week.... once every two weeks... depends on how dirty and busy i've been
yeah, i've heard that, too. never seemed to apply in my case. i've got too much oil, and it sits on some VERY fine strands. i think that's for people with more coarse hair. well, more coarse than baby hair, which is a pain in the ass. but it feels nice.
Hehehe, same here! My hair always looks ten times better after it's washed. Do you use conditioner? And when you wash it, how many times do you do it, once or twice?
i just wash once, use a light conditioner. i'll often just use baby shampoo and a detangler. i really like aussie's detangler spray.
I usually just wash it once, but if I've managed to go two days without washing it because it's been braided back, then I'll wash it twice. I almost always use conditioner, otherwise my hair ends up in total knots. Sometimes I use baby shampoo, but it's almost too gentle, doesn't get rid of the greasiness. Then again, the baby shampoo I have here right now has conditioner in it. If I were to try just regular baby shampoo with a detangler, it might do the trick. My daughter has super baby fine hair, and it's forever knotted up. I have to wear her hair in pigtails or braided or else it's a nightmare when she wakes up in the morning. Takes forever to get the knots out.
every other day or so... I like how it feels after washing, but blowdrying makes it poof badly so I tend to wash it when I have enough time to let it air dry so it doesn't get so poofy and funny looking
I was with a mate of mine, we went to a pub. The barman told my mate to take off his baseball cap (security reasons), anyway I had the fright of my life when I saw my mates hair unwashed and solid with dandruff, it was hideous and I was nearly sick. I've not seen him since..............ugh
I said a few times a week. I usually wash it every second day, but sometimes I'll have them more than one day in a row.
i haven't shampoo'd my hair in i dunno how long. though, when i was swimming, i had to wash it daily with a special shampoo to get the chlorine and other chemicals out, otherwise my hair would be wicked dry - not good. but i usually keep my hair relatively short, so no need to shampoo or condition it a lot...
