Okay. So I'm using this rasta hat pattern that you lovely ladies gave me a couple days ago. Maybe I'm just a tard, but I'm confused. Observe: Why the heck is it puckering up like that? I'm so frustrated.
Ok when i odo them i odont use paterns, but the basics are very simple. Chain 6, then do your cats bum thing with about 17 stitches. On the next row put two stitches in every OTHER stitch. next row put two stitches in every third stitch. If it begins to look wobbly on the next row dont put as meny stitches in and if it begins to curl upwards then add a few more stitches in. Usually after the 4th or 5th row i only add about 5 or six stitches per row. Then make it as big as a large diner plate then start to work your way back in again by jumping stitches at the same kind of rate
yea sorry i dont know the technical term for it so i call it the cats bum thing cos ...well.... it looks like a cats bum when its done hehe *blush* thats wasnt a mean jibe at you they ALL look like cats bums
no ceridwin it shouldnt curl tlike that at all. That usually means you have too many stitches in the row. And if it curved in like a bowl it means you have too few stitches in the row
i'm wondering if maybe when it says work 1 dc into next 3 sts, *maybe* she is working 3 dc into each st instead?
also i just noticed how TINY her hook is, parhaps a larger hook would help, thhen you get less stitches but more vissable ones.
