haha yea. its because in Quebec you go at highschool in grade 7. so youre young when u start, and you have 5 years of highschool then 2-3 years of college, then univ.
That's one part that never made sense to me. When you go to a university, you pick a field to study, and attend that college as part of the entire establishment. Like...college of social sciences, school of business, etc. etc. Weird...
Congrats Phil I think i might apply next year to Champlain Regional College - Lennoxville in liberal arts with a concentration in litterature or something ... I hope i'll get in. I don't wanna go to Cégep de Granby/Haute-Yamaska , it's so lame and boring .... Plus Champlain College at Lennoxville is one the of the ultimate partylife places after Cégep du Vieux-Montréal ..
youp is welcome! getting accepted is always heartlifting, even if you were expecting it... makes ya feel better about yerself
thanks dude.. thats pretty cool. didnt know there were programs that chill lol. well i guess i know what im gonna go in in case i get kicked out of the nerd program because im too much of a dope.
well up to high school, it's general education, then in college (cegep) (in quebec) you have either a choice of going to a career program like police, dentist assistant, nursing, etc which will take you 3 years and after that you are in the job market. Or you can attend a 2 year pre-university program. There's a lot less pre-university programs (only 6 basicc with sub-categories I think) than career programs because they are sort of like general education in a specific field (art and litterature, social science, administration, natural science, music, etc), and after you are done you are NOT in the job market (with a "real" diploma), you then go to university into a specific thing like civil engineering, accounting, surgery, biochemistry, etc.
yep. im happy to know im going somewhere next year... more reasons to be lazy the rest of the year knowing im going to college
Haha yes you should try to be one of those éternels cégépiens (eternal freshman), my friend's sister is a part of this distinct and pretty well-known category of students
You still need to meet the minimum requirements . I need 70% minimum in physics, chemistry and math 536. When I was thinking of going into honours sccience it was 80% in physics, math, and chem with 85% overall...but I decided not to apply because you had to write all those letters about what do you wanna do in the future (which if I have no idea), teacher recommendation letter, and then you must work a lot and shit, bleh, time eating crap. I'm glad that I didn't apply.
haha i dunno man.. i mean so far i have like 65 in physics, and im accepted... ill just pass the classes, who gives ...
Hahah yeah, I heard that it's like new, and very clean. If you need help I can, I get like 90-95+ marks in physics and math. [/brag]
bah stop bragging!. i got 95% in the last math test on umm, i forgot. i think it was uhhh lol. some statistics chapter. in physics. ya fine.. i really suck, my teacher even told me "philippe youre not serious in class... stop fooling around and do the work" in chemistry, ya again... i have to cheat to pass the fuckin exams, my teacher is such a fuckbag. no one understands crap. i still manage to get like 70's and best grades with some clever cheating
And how's the party life there ? Cos cégep is well usually at time of your life where you party a lot (except if you're attending granby/haute yamaska)
outta sight my man. outta sight ... juste des quebecois a ce cegep apparemment, aucun immigrant kasiment (nice!).. donc ben dla dope pi ben dla beer jcrois. mais JOHN ABBOT est supposer etre tres fort la dessus aussi, pi ya beaucoup dLSD ki svent la bas
