Do you get more structure in your life the older you get?

Can you elaborate a little more? I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. I mean, sure, my life is more structured now than it was when I was 17...I have many more responsibilities, obligations, a husband, three kids. Is that the kind of structure you mean?

I think, yes, most people do because of what hippychickmommy said- you get more obligations the older you get that make you have more structure then when you are a teenager.

Less, less and less, and this is wonderful. It has nothing to do with responsibilities, it depends on how you view the world, I think.

I've never understood the concept of structure in my life.

i don't. that's for damd sure. i don't need structure to have more of life to look forward to. all structure, other then the tangablie kind you build to keep the rain off, has ever done 'for' me is to inhibit both immagination AND clearity of thought!

some things ARE usefull, even neccessary, to structure, like shared effort in certain kinds of projects, like the nuts and bolts of building and maintaining infrastructure.

    but anything else is not.
nature is when you get hungry you look for something to eat.
when it's your time of day, your OWN time of day, or just wherever and only whenever you're tired enough to do so, and you're in a safe place to do so where you can, you sleep.

too much structure is what causes mental illness and stress and 7 of the top ten causes of death are either stimulated or agrivated by that kind of stress.

so the older you get the less you can afford to over structure.
of course during primary working age, in the kind of world we're pressently living in, you can't afford to understructure either.

but the kind of world we're living in will likely in many ways sooner or later chainge.
it will have to if we are as a species to survive.
