with all the threads started on communes , i wonder how everybody is progressing??some threads go a little ways then just abruptly end........does that mean that the commune is up and running or the idea was abandoned??
personally I think most people abandon and are never heard from again. If people had something up and running they would post it for all to see, or at least i know I would/will. my project so far is running a little behind schedule, but life get's in the way of things. we are still looking to buy land in the fall, but I don't know if it will be just me buying land or if the other people involved will have any money to invest in it. I'm still trying to find more people as well...
i think a lot of people want to live in a commune to get away from society but some don't realise thet to live in a commune you have to be able to get along very well with people ..you may seek out people with like ideas but everybody has a different dream of how to get there .that is where a person has to be flexible enough to step back and ask himself or herself if the other person's reasoning is plausible ,,,,,,and be able to abide by the consensus of the group ..a lot of communes in this area in the 60s and 70s were ruined by this ,,,,,,,,,,,the MY WAY OR NO WAY attitude .....that and getting caught growing grass ..lol
