wow... wtf is wrong with people

I'm so pissed off right now. My mom got her car stolen today. Broad daylight... all she did was run into a store to get a couple things and it was gone. Heres the thing though. It was a 1990 model beat-up car. What would someone possibly want with some little old lady's beat up purple car... She parked in the second spot next to the store even. The car was worth nothing and she had safe auto insurance which means she did not have theft covered. I just feel so bad because my mom is old, a widow and struggling to get by. She has nothing, only 400 dollars to put down on something. It makes me sick that good people who do alot for others always get screwed over. I hope karma slaps the bitch that did it. I feel horrible I have no way of helping her or any money to give her because I would if I could. Now shes probably going to miss her first granddaughter's birth which makes me extremely sad because I wanted to have my mom by my side. *sigh* We live about 45 mins apart so who knows whats going to happen now. Hopefully she won't lose her job because she can't get there.

 

That is downright horrible someone did that! I mean even stealing a car is wrong but a beat up old lady's car! Man I hope the person who did it gets slapped by karma.

 

Easier to break into than a new whip that has alarms.

I seen an episode on COPS where some dude stole bikes from the yard where the police confiscate bikes. Brilliant eh?

By that same token, maybe karma caught up with your mother. Not saying she's a bad person, but no one is perfect and sometimes we have to 'cut corners'.

Get rides with a co worker and pay them gas money? Public Transportation?

 

That totaly sucks.
My 12 year old just had her bookbag stolen this week and it had nothing of monetary value but it had her drawing books she's been working on, a project that was due today and a text book... Stuff no one would really be interested in...but just for kicks they take it any way. I have been trying to wrap my head around it too...

I hope it somehow turns into a blessing for your mom, stuff gets stolen from my husband alot and it always works out in the end in ways we never would have imagined.

Don't let them get to you.

 

i leave the keys in my work truck always..

noone ever steals it..

matter fact,, unless its at a motel,i never take keys outta any my vehicles,,nor do we lock them..

i dunno,,then again we never go to cities..

keys are always in it,,but the keys are just to send juice..

had a a short somewhere,,now theres a button to push to get fire to the starter..

i could just see the frustration on that punks face..

sucks,,400 bucks wont get much of a car nowdays,,an on a 1990 model even with full coverage ya might get 250 bucks,,but im sure she has a detuctible..

I leave the keys in my Impala but then its in the garage too and has full coverage on it and the garage is locked and alarmed.

Takes some real sick bastards to steal like that. Sadly she did not realize the world is just plain messed up. Cant do anything even for a second. I lock my truck up all the time even if just jumping into a restroom to pee. Too many bad people out here these days.

Sorry to hear it happend to an ederly lady on a fixed budget and all too. MAybe some of us could pool some cash to help her out. I could send some and others??

 

a couple years ago I was in a store and someone came in and left thier car running outside....I was using the ATM so I got done quick and go outside this dude is driving away in his car....only it wasn't his car. the other dude comes running out of the store yelling that someone was stealing his car. I didn't stick around too long cuz I was in a hurry for a "meeting" and really didn't want involved....but it was in the paper the next day. I guess they finally caught the guy a couple days later in another state.

 

thats why you dont want to leave your car running, unattended. plus, its illegal, around here it is anyways. even if you want to start your car on a cold day, its illegal for anyone to leave it unattended, unless you have one of those remote starts, and your doors are locked.

 

id love to ,,but serious,, my backs been fucked for a month now,,works been slow etc..

by the time this turns the corner my savings is gonna be cut in half.

She never said the car was running, you guys are assuming that and she never said the keys were in it or that it was unlocked. Anyway, I lock my car all of the time too but it could get stolen anyway, keeps honest thiefs honest I guess.

 

well it wasn't running, the keys werent in it and at least one door was locked, if the other wasn't I don't know (2 door). She ran in 15 mins and found it gone. I just felt bad and wanted to vent. I'm sure the person will be found. We live in a smaller area and the crime was very stupidly done. I'm sure it was some dumb kid. I'm going to sell my mom my stick shift if she can learn to drive it for a small amount. If she could get public transportation around here it'd be nice, unforetunetly the stuff we have only goes to big towns like philadelphia and allentown that I know of. She'll be fine I'm sure but shes a nice person so it pissed me off... shes one of those everyone deserves respect, i live my life by believing in and trusting karma people so I feel bad she had to get such bad luck at such a hard point in her life. I'm sure there is good to come out of it or some kind of lesson for someone. Hell, she raised me...I can't help but believe in and rely on karma taking care of it. It always has anyway. She'll be ok though cuz I love her and I want to help her all I can. What else are your kids for... if your a good parent (and your kids are through that hating you stage) your love will be returned by your childern 10 fold.
