Here's the rough idea of what'll go on:


Dates: June 23, 4:00 PM-June 25, 2:00PM (2006)

Events: Music, drum circles, frisby throwing, swimming in the river, walking around town (which can be reached by walking down the tow path which starts at the park), barbecue (veggie burgers! unless there are some meat-eaters who insist...), dancing, and just plain chilling. There is Bowman's Hill Tower, and a Wildflower Preserve/Park across the street to wander around as well. I am completely open to other ideas anyone has about what else to do, JUST PM ME.

Rules:
Parking is across the street from the park, at the Wildflower Preserve
No violence of course (that goes without saying I suppose)
Be reasonable and use good judgement with what you bring
Food will be brought by all- everyone bring a bit of something, as opposed to me charging an admission price.

Please PM me, and anyone nearby PLEASE help plan this with me. If you know any bands that will play, invite them and let me know!

Do you honestly think that the cops aren't going to give you a hard time in Washington's Crossing? I don't mean to be a negative Nelly, but I lived in that area for a long time and don't seem to remember the cops being too friendly. I see more wedding parties/receptions in that area than I do "hippy" type get togethers. You have a great idea, just a bad location (Altough the scenery there is awesome). Why not do it at Core Creek State Park? Just a suggestion.

 

It's Washington's Cross Park in New Hope- I live right near the park, and I go there often, and no one goes there. I've never seen police there, except for when there was a flood. I know people who have had birthday parties there and parites in general, and as long as you call and arrange it, they seem to be cool about it, AKA police aren't involved (as long as we don't get ridiculously out of hand...uh oh. haha jk)
