I'm sorry, I got Tramadol mixed up TOPOMAX, now. My bad. I'm sorry if I caused any problems for you. (Damn so many drug names are SO close)

I hate Ultram. It never helped my migraines at all.

Elle, I am guessing Gabapentine (Neurontin, right, Photo?) This can be really effective, once it starts to work, if you can get through the "fuzzies" while on it the first few weeks. I got too tired on it, but I know Migraine patients who do really well on it.

Elle, definately call either your migraine doctor or the pharmacist about the drug interaction. A good reason to always fill all your drugs at the same pharmacy. if there would be a problem, it will show up for the pharmacist before he or she fills it for you, and he can call your doctor for something different.

what do you mean the "fuzzies"? are they anything like the effects of klonopin? because i used to take klonopin for a while (when i was a teenager i used them for recreation) and i know that they are an anti seizure drug but also very powerful in their ability to "fuck" you up. I DO NOT want to take anything even close to that anymore. so when i saw on my med info that it was an anti seizure drug i got a little scared. i will post the exact name later on when i get home.

actually i get my tramadol from the internet......i cannot find a doctor to give me pain meds for my migranes so i have to take my own route.....and it has become an addiction, they dont help my migranes at all.

    gabapentin is generic for Neurontin.

It was developed for seizures, but rarely used for that anymore.

It is most frequently used for nerve pain, but also for mood disorders, migraines, and other conditions.

It is often very well tolerated and effective.

Usually you start off on a very low dose and build up very slowly, to avoid side effects, or at least lessen them.

Klonopin (clonazepam) is a benzodiazepine, like Valium or Xanax. It also is used for seizures, but very rarely. Gabapentin is not similar to Klonopin at all.

Yes, it is fine to take both tramadol and gabapentin.

They can increase the drowsiness effect of each other, but other than that, no problem.
