anyways...i've been thinkin of this tattoo for a long time, and i'm pretty much for sure going to get it when the time comes..anyways here's an explanation, i'm not really askin for much just what u guys think of the idea anyways...my whole life my grandparents have been unbelivable to me, pretty much raised me and did everything in my life to make it a succesfull one, never once looked at me diffrerently no matter what happened, and have always loved me as much as they could...so [god forbid] when they both pass away i'm going to get a memorium on my arm for them, this is the idea: k, the center peice pretty much on the middle of my bicep will be a profile of both of them, just both of them together standing or just upper body, just smiling in a good pose, somthin i find in a picture to use then, above them, blending into/around them will be the Skyline of the city of vancouver, the city i hold VERY deeply to my heart, and love so much i will never ever leave then, below them, i'm going to either have the skyline of the city of Helsinki [the capital of finland] or Laparanta [another city in finaldn where my grandpa is from] the skyline of finland will kind of blend into the vancouver one/grandparents pictures, and that one being on the bottom is kinda signifying my "roots" since i am half finnish then, i'm considering using the phrase "as lonely as i be, together we cry" kind of drawn into the bottom skyline i just really wanted to get my ideas out, and just posted so to me, doesnt really matter if anyone posts, just feels good to get it out
i seriously LOVE the idea. all aspects of the tattoo have meaning. and it will look dope. the only idea i'd like to throw out, is maybe have the bottom skyline be a reflection of helsinki. i just think that would look cool. kinda like: vancouver grandparents reflection of helsinki cause it would be like a portrait taken at vancouver, but the reflection of in the water is your roots. but yeah, like i said before i really love the idea.
I'm impressed at how much thought you've put into this imagery. That's the way to do it! I love the reflection idea, too. It also never hurts to ask a tattoo artist, especially if you have one in mind to do the tattoo, what they think. I know I've come to my artist with ideas so many times that I'm just in love with and he still can improve on them.
for the potrait i'm gonna fly somewhere in the states and get it done by the best bad potraits are probably the worst "bad" tatoo u can get imo
