800 number and music download scam

Brothers and Sisters,

Within the past 12 hours I have been fighting a company called MusicVixen.com, who claimed that I had signed up for 51 free music downloads and a 800. After calling my phone company and asking them a few questions, I discovered that I had inadvertantly clicked on a pop up or opened a spam email that contained spyware. this spyware was used to find my PO BOX number, my phone number, my birthday, and other important information. this pop up or email was connected to a game on the internet that was supposedly free. Apparently, when I clicked on what ever the hell it was, i was automatically signed up for this 800 number that they charged me for on my phone bill. i wasn't aware that I had signed up for anything, because i didn't. The spyware recieved my information and signed me up just by point and click.

Please be aware of situations like this. Someone is always trying to scam you out of money. Nothing but love and peace are free, but even they can come with a price.
