hi jonny, i dont spose you or lulu could video it for me? i dont have a tv license - eep and can only watch videos. or is that illegal? i dont need a tv license to watch videos do i? bah. good luck sal old boy
unfortunately that is illegal, it really sucks. apparently you cannot own a tv or have a tv in your place of residence without a TV license. so i have to use my laptop for all my DVD watching
I have never paid for a t.v license. Lets see I left home at 16 and now i'm 27, not bad going. Here's a tip. All you need to do to avoid paying it is when you move to a new house, never let them know you've moved in. If you never give them your details (and avoid opening the door when they call) they can't take you to court because they don't have your name and address (yes I guess I did learn some things when I worked in a solicitors). This also works with other stuff such as council tax. Beat the system.
bummer, i so cant be arsed paying for a tv license i cant afford to be in a property for just a few months but i have a hat tricks video i wanna watch over an over to learn some stuff in time for the summer...guess im gunna hafta fork out. lucky you onelovemission...im not the luckiest person in the world and i dont wanna wind up in jail for fraud lol, god id cry like a baby hehe.
"If you use a TV or any other device to receive or record TV programmes (for example, a VCR, set-top box, DVD recorder or PC with a broadcast card) - you need a TV Licence." That's from the TV license website. I think therefore if you just have a VCR to watch videos (rather than recording) then you don't need a license because you're not receiving TV channels. Thats how I've always interpreted it anyway!
