I wasn't sure what forum to post this in, but my friend is living in a flat, and there have been spooky goings on. He left a room and came back later to find a stool behind the door that's closed.. And that wouldn't have been possible for him to do. When a DVD was flung off the couch, he decided to take a picture of the room, and two faces showed up. So we have strong reason to believe there are two peeved spirits/ghosts occupying the room. I'm wondering if there's any spells to placate them or something? Thanks :edit: I said spells because I thought I had posted in the wiccan forum, apologies!
I am not knowledgable in the ways of spells - but I'd love to see that photo - it's very rare that something is printed that is convincing... As far as spirits in houses go.. well - I work as a night porter in a supposedly haunted hotel and yeah it is a pretty eery job.I wouldn't worry until anything actually threatening happens - I mean a poltergeist that throws and moves things around is supposed to be just more of a nuisance than anything threatening.But - well you know the obvious solution - even if youre not religious - people do say that the old excorcism works....

umm...Well, I have had a few run ins this year with people with spirits in their homes. If you are not a spiritual worker???...then I will sugest the easiest method which is really just a starting piont: a house cleansing would be a good thing to do. I will worn you it may take more than this, but it has work for many and even if it does not get the spirits to go away it usully helps make the living space share-able. For you really have no right to just shove a spirit out of the place. Anyway, when you moved in it is pretty unlikely that you did anything to spiritually freshin your new place most people do not unless they are trained to. So here is what you'll need: spring or perifided water sea salt a bowl for the water Dragons blood insents or mineral (if there are animals in the house use sweet grass and sage, pine bundle or a mixer there of) if you get the DB mineral you will need charcoal to burn it on and a safe container to burn it in. You can fine all these things at a new age, pagan or natural food store. It would be a good idea to find some symbols you can put on your door frame and windowsill, such as a oham or rune letter for protection or peace in your home but that is up to you. The symbols can be on small peices of paper or on stone/wood. You would place these symbols last at the end of the cleansing while the smoke still is in the air through your pace. To start you may pray or (ask that) to your god or creative spirit to help and support you in your house cleansing. Or you can ask your gardians and ancestors to be with you and guide you. You will mix the water and sea salt togather in the bowl, you will need enogh water to sprinkle in every room of the home. and just enogh sea salt to give the water a slightly salty tast. this mixter is to cleanse start from the entrance of the home and go through every room especially the room with the most activity. Visualize as you walk through sprinkling the salt water mix a bright blue light filling each room you go through phocus on peace and rest through out the house and for all who are present. Then head back to the entrance of the home again and light the bundle or mineral. This will purify your pace. Visualize the heat and sent moving into every corner of the room(s) you are in and going through. move or wave the smoke into all areas of the rooms. Ask in your mind or out loud that only energy or beings of good intent be welcomed in your home and for all others to leave or not disterb you from now on. Place the symbols and thank those that you prayed or asked to be with you through the house cleancing. I hope this is helpful to you, if you have questions feel free to ask. Peace Clove
