i don't think so - cause with weed it's the THC that is vaporised - so it means the active ingredient is burnt and inhaled - not the leaf itself and garbage of the plant. Salvia needs to burn completely cause what you buy IS the actual ingredient (when buying extracts - with leaves the active compound is IN the leaf - not ON it like with weed)
I got a flowbee or something at the beginning of my exploration it is a glass vaporizer. some colleagues were raving about it, but they also raved about quidding. this is an area where very scientific approaches have to be followed consistently. (id did not work well for me, as you inhale at a different time than applying heat, thus the airpressure reduction thing - i.e. sucking (see below) would not engage, and very little varorization took place though the glass got quite hot) at sea level air pressure, the vaporization temperature of salvinorin (the active ingredient of salvia divinorum) is rather high, and a torch will work to vaporize crystals of salvinorin from a glass or metal plate. daniel siebert records an incident where he did use a torch to vaporize 3mg of salvinorin crystal from a plate. he inhaled what he could using a tube (my guess is he got half of it from the surrounding air) then he went timetravelling through his mind and was very impressed. vaporizing crystal in a lab is different than vaporizing the leaf or salvinorin out of the leaf, and using plates and tubes and torches out of a lab is not reccommended, especially if the salvianaut then goes time travelling. a good high extract and a small pipe and a regular lighter are sufficient equipment to enable a salvianaut to get 100% of the salvinorin from leafy material. when the salvianaut inhales on a small pipe he reduces the air pressure in the combustion bowl. standardized 10x or 5x extract in the bowl will release all of it's salvinorin to the airstream when it is exposed to flame from any lighter if the salvianaut draws into his lungs quickly he will get everything out of a small quantity of burning salvia extract. if the salvinaut holds his inhallation for 20 seconds he will hae excellent results.
the most pure to this day is arround 60x extract. it means that there is like 60 times as much salvinorin-a in the substance as would be in 1 normal leaf. crystaline salvia - i don't thijk you will find it + it would be so small that you would have to use a microgram scale to weigh it out.

No i dont think you can vape them because whenever I've heard ppl talkin about salvia they say to use a torch lighter so it burns the chemical.
the physics of the crystalline material is very different from that of most psychedelic or psycho ative compounds. it is waxy, difficult to dissolve, hard to vaporize, etc. some tests for administration have used less than .01 ml of acetone solutions mixed with DMSO to diffuse the burn. once extracted most people put it back on the leaf to make leaf more efficient because smoking works well. go here http://imageevent.com/sphere/salviadivinorumextractiontech you will see a fair amount of pure compound collected. a single gram represents more than 1500 smoked doses. it is too strong to measure pure, and ordinary vaporizers do not work. you will also see the idea presented of using compustible cigarettepaper fragments to liberate salvinorin into the airstream at lower temperatures than a vaporizer would require. with that technique (1/50th of a piece of a cigarette paper) all the smoking is finished in less than 1 second. most find with this that they are not aware they smoked anything. it is far more efficient than trying to measure such a dose by weight of waxy sticky crystalline material, and then trying to vaporize it hermetically - in a vaporizer and then effectively inhale the vapor before it condenses.

why do you want to do it like this? - have you smoked salvia more than 10 times before?? ... i mean - there is a long way to go before one is ready for pure salvinorin-a ... 5x - 10 x - 20 x - 40 x ... not enough in this stuff for you??

ah ok - one way to help is putting ice in your water-pipe ... cold cold ice and water ... that will smoothen the smoke.
the tinfoil and vap tech is far too difficult. using cold and ice is like breathing out early, you get less effect, since a large percentage is condensed out. 10x in a small pipe inhaled quickly should be fine. if you hate smoking try less and use 20x.
