It is an option I've been considering for the past 2 years.

And right now my brain feels like a pretzel because I can't finalize my decision.

I told my dad that I was not happy with my program and living in Toronto and he suggested I take next year off and see how things go. However, I have a feeling that I won't go back because I really dislike living in Ontario.

Lately, I've lost all interest in attending because I'm fet up with certain professors and their very bad approach to teaching, as well as the fact that my classes that are supposed to be labs, are lectures instead. Very infuriating, especially when you're trying to learn how to use complicated software (and the professors don't even give us any photocopied references to follow)!

My only motivation for staying is to acquire my BFA. But I fear if I stay, I will loose any sense of a sane mind.

What to do.. What to do?

If you dont like living in Ontario and are unhappy with your university, why not transfer to one outside of the province instead of dropping out? The years almost over, I'd finish up and looking into a transfer.

i hope you have your mind cleared and find out exactly what to do, transfering would be a good option like dissident said.
    good luck!

It sounds like you don't necessarily want to drop out of university all together...but instead transfer because it's more about the professors being crappy than you being unhappy in school.

    finish it out and transfer.

    I've made up my mind.

I'm going finish up the year, take the next year off and apply to some other schools (and hopefully transfer some credits).

I had a long phone conversation with my parents about this last night and they both support my decision.

    Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Go to the West Coast, where everything is more chill.

Yeah, the west is rad... or come to Mount A and chill out here in NB! It's a hell of a relaxing place. A little boring sometimes, though, if you don't have hobbies... Good school, though.
