ok i love tofutti products but there products contain a lot of sugar which im trying to cut back on i usually try to use stevia, is there any vegan "ice cream" products that you know of that dont contain a ton of sugar?
Try making "creams-sicles" Things you'll need... Vegan Soy-ghurt Fruit Juice Popsicle molds (or even icecube molds). Mix everything up and put in the molds and freeze. If they're not sweet enough you can always add a bit of Stevia.
i think sugar is the point. Look at sorbets and fruit juic bars or throw a couple frozen bananas in the blender. serve with Alaska syrup (organic vegan chocolate sauce)
what i've been making a lot of lately is basically a frozen protein shake....take fruit (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, etc) and vanilla protein powder, throwing it in the food processor until it's blended together and light and fluffy, and then freezing it and eating it as ice cream-ish stuff. actually tastes really good...plenty good enough to substitute for ice cream, IMO.
I have found that tofutti is too sweet for me, too, and I do like sweet things. Try soy frozen yogurt or Soy Delicious ice cream. Tofutti would be better with a little less sugar.
