yeah whats stopping you is RESIDENCY. The dutch don't grant citizenship to people who want to move there and perform a service that thousands of its citizens already do. You need to prove that you offer a labor skill that the netherlands is in need of to become a resident. If the business you started was a niche that needed to be filled it would be a different story.......sorry

not sure..you would have to review national statistics. I recommend searching for a netherlands government website....

Its very difficult to get a permit if you are from the USA, even if you work for a company that has locations in Nederland.

    Good luck....

Hardly anyone grows weed in Amsterdam anymore. Too many busts. It's all happening in smaller towns around the country. There are also more gangs involved in this "profession" and if they find out about you, you'll either have to join them or get out of their way.

It just ain't like it used to be.

As far as a "bar" goes, I assume you mean a coffeeshop or smartshop. Coffeeshop licenses are nearly impossible to come by anymore. You'd have to buy out an existing one. Few are willing to sell, so you'd have to pay top Euro for one. If you did come and invest say a million Euros in such a business (with a Dutch partner of course), you might be able to get residency.

    Good luck!

you could come over, give a dutch bum $500 to marry you which entitles you to citizenship, thats my plan if my US Greencard doesnt come throught in the next year or so.
