hey, i just got a hold of live/dead and it's so awsome, but i was wondering what other live albums would be worth buying. my first idea was to get the 3 disk set of their fillmore west 1969 performance, and that's probably what i'll be getting if there isn't better stuff you might have to propose.
o yeah, i'd love for it to have Dark Star--->St. Stephen--->The Eleven
    at least dark star
    thanks for any help

Well, if something is better is a question of taste...

But in my mind the EUROPE 72 (a triple live album) is one of the best albums by the GD ever. With a wonderful version of CHINA CAT SUNFLOWER/I KNOW YOU RIDER, a good rocking SUGAR MAGNOLIA and a great version of HE'S GONE.

Another one of my favourites is ANTHEM OF THE SUN. The very first album (as I am informed) combining live and studio takes and with fade overs between songs (in a "cinematic" way).

Listen to John Grisman's charming mandoline in RIPPLE on AMERICAN BEAUTY!

    Saying PEACE from Ol' Germany
