So the placebos just so happened to fall at the same time as march break. I really dont want to have my period over the march break, because you know it's time for rowdiness. ;) Would it be okay just to start my next pack? I've had friends do this in the past constantly, but is it a problem or is it fine?

I'd say it's ok...I've done it before, a couple of times. Take care and have fun!

I don't think it's ok. I've done it and it caused some problems for me. I'd say just go ahead and take the placebos and stop worrying about getting rowdy. It's so cliche to get some on spring break.

Good way to catch a disease. Fuck some horny person that has had sex with a billion other people that week. Way to go.

She didn't say she was going to be unsafe, just didn't want her period. Safe sex is a given, it should be practiced.

As far as the birth control goes, it won't effect their effectivness to skip the placebos. I did it a few times when I was on BC (but not for sex, I didn't care if I was bleeding or not for that). As far as I remember I still bled a little, especially in the middle of the next pack of pills, and sometimes my period started a bit later than usual when I got to the next placebos.

There is that brand of BC called Seasonale or something that is essentially three months worth of bc without the blanks. BUT-if you are taking a bc pill without different hormone levels throughout your cycle, you CANNOT do this. Only with a single level of hormones. I think ortho-tricyclene is one of those with different levels.

i tried that on ortho tricyclin. that must be why it didn't work so well. i 'm takin it for pcos, not for birth control, so i guess its not that big a deal. still, i find the level of information i've been given by my health professionals about lots of things to be really inadequate.
