even if she didnt like the beatles, she should at least name who was in the group?? I mean, everyone in music should know that stuff.
um oh......for me songs i personally like are not defined by the language i tend to settle for emotion and something that can fit a special place in my heart P.S and as for the Beatles I don’t think I really like them and @ madcrappie "even if she didnt like the beatles, she should at least name who was in the group?? I mean, everyone in music should know that stuff". sorry i disagree, i think its best for someone to actually know about the music of a musician before actually knowing the member(s). What use is a name (well they do help in quizzes)
well its what I meant in the first place. The Beatles arent my fav group either. And I think it's espeacially bad if you consider yourself a 'musician' as Kelly Clarkson does.

neo soul is so much different than mainstream pop music... so if someone were to take a shit with a lot of emotion, record it, overdub some instruments, and release it, you'd like it? words are the single most important part to probably the majourity of musical genres, and since james blunt aint no classical musician or jamband man or anything like that (he's not much of an instrumentalist at all), words are all he's got.... so he basically has nothing. fuckin hell, i do believe my hatred for this man has grown bigger than my hatred for jim morrison...
um well it would not matter to me if the artist(s) created a piece of music out of vain. I would still like the music if it was able to fit a place in my heart. After all i did say i tend to like a piece of music if it had enough emotion in it to reach a place in my heart and have noticed you never included this in your post. further more he's not much of an instrumentalist at all i noticed the fact that you said "he is not much of an instrumentalist" well i guess the important thing to notice is that you have confessed to him being one - seeing as you said he is not much of one *winks*
the guy who fronted the doors... couldnt sing at all and wasnt much of a songwriter (most overrated frontman of all-time)
Ha. Wow. You got me, there. Seriously, good call... Well, if you've ever heard her perform live, her voice is not the same quality (or as good) as what you hear on the radio. I guess that's really what peeves me. I love American Idol, but sometimes it's just like "GOD WHO'S VOTING OUT THERE?" Heh. I sing well enough for the church choir, but I wouldn't go on AI and subject millions of people to it... I really don't blame her that much because she has all these people around her telling her how WONDERFUL she is all the time... Who wouldn't get confused, especially since it's kind of hard to hear yourself when you're singing.
