Hey has anyone seen that new commercial with the girl and her balloon-deflated friend. "oh this is all we do now". Well, if you know what commercial i'm talking about, that commercial makes me wanna toke because if i'm high and i'm a deflated balloon, i'll probably end up getting blown!!! HAHAHA LOL ROFFLE MAYO!!!
haha yep. pretty ridiculous stuff, just entertainment for stoners. i think this is the link to the ads http://www.abovetheinfluence.com/the-ads/default.aspx
those commercials make me laugh at their complete and total ignorance towards what pot really does to you. it makes me mad, though, too, because now they are attacking the pot smokers themselves, rather than the pot...
Yeah but what can you do? People take this bullshit to heart and refuse to listen to anything a no good dirty stoner says. That's propaganda for ya.
http://www.whatsyourantidrug.com/form.asp My anti-drug: PEOPLE WHO COULD DIE FROM DRUGS!! The power of sobriety^
I think if and when there is a bill for marijuana to be legalized/decriminalized it'll be funny to see the commercials that are pro pot cuz its totally gonna throw off everything they've been trying to say since the 1930s.
It's great. I take psychology II as one of my classes, and the teacher is a pretty cool younger guy that the students have respect for. All the other kids are seniors like me, but only a few have smoked weed and even fewer smoke on a regular basis like I do. I might add that most have a generally negative outlook on drugs in general, including but not limited to cannabis. We have been on the altered states chapter and there is a huge unit dedicated to various drugs including marijuana, LSD, caffeine, alcohol, and various stimulants and barbiturates. The teacher got on the subject of how to influence people not to do drugs, which was a question on a worksheet from the book. The three main ways were to: teach refusal skills, build confidence (and/or life purpose), and teach risks (scare the shit out of them). He goes on to say that (not included in the book, directly) marijuana is much safer than the ads claim. He tells everyone that, since scare tactics work so well in the media, they come up with claims that really aren't true, all in order to scare people into hating on the herb and users. He made reference to the new ads on TV such as abovetheinfluence. I feel that the other kids learned something important from this man. The other kids also learned that marijuana isn't physically addictive, and that anything that gives us good feelings can be addictive psychologically. Anyway, much respect to those who promote the REAL truth. Abovetheinfluence is bunk. FUCK YOU ATI webmasters and propagandists. And a big FUCK YOU to the government for relying on shitty laws for quick $$.
