Right now, I'd have to say Hope Sandoval of Mazzy Star would be my favorite. There are other female musicians out there who I listen too, And I might like more of their songs (Mazzy Star is just too slow and depressing sometimes) but overall I LOVE the way she sings.

I like Chan Marshall's voice in Cat Power but she is such a horrible performer that I have to reconsider.

Yeah, I wasn't sure which one it was. But it was definitely sad. People that belong to awesome bands should be allowed to die!
