I think the younger scene just don't get the message from back in the 60's. Be true to yourself. Be a free spirit. FREEDOM! Just isn't what it used to be...
Lots goin' on in the intellect dept, impressive but sometimes a little too much. Maybe a bit lackin' in the common sense area. Not good to generalize, gotta love 'em. My experience, bein' non materialistic is great and all, but seems like folks just go thru stuff like it falls out of the sky. Can't keep holt a nuthin'. Blankets, tents, sleeping bags, shoes, guitars, cars even. Easy come, easy go. Trouble is, every time they leave all their posessions behind, someone else's gotta come along and pick it all up and figure out what to do with it all. A bunch of folks at a festival make a CRAZY amount of trash!!! I think some folks just wait to get to the next fest to unload all their extra baggage and clean out their vehicles, my pet peeve. Well, I won't complain TOO much. After our last gathering, we ended up with probably about 600 bucks worth of abandoned usable STUFF... All in all a fun, and happy bunch.
