Dreams to me have commonly been nonsensical, though I wonder if a lot of them have more significance than I give them credit for, especially given the frightening ones I've been having recently

One theme that I've been noticing: Whenever I walk towards someone, or even an animal (usually a dog), I see either the person or dog in some sort of predicament. But whenever I walk to try to aid, really creepy shit happens - in one dream, I accidentally knock over something and it lands and crushes it and the part that wakes me up in horror is the wailing of the dog as it is crushed. In other situations, I see limbs falling off (gross sight). In situations with people, it's usually that I do something accidentally that elicits many angry reactions from people; or in some cases I do something stupid that causes them death or serious injury, and more screaming and wailing and then usually a group comes to "hunt" me as a result, and I find myself having to escape.

Also, most of my dreams usually involve a "post apocalyptic" sort of setting and I am usually a lone wanderer travelling through ruined cities or in a deserted wasteland. That part in and of itself isn't scary, but this theme is something I'm wondering if it has any sort of meaning as well...

signifiganse and sense are entirely seperate peramiteres and entirely seperately variable.

mine are post post 'apocalypse' (the running out of fossle fuels and an emplosion of human population down to more sustainable levels, leaving behind more that has been built then is any longer needed), with nature having grown back and the streams once again running clean.

i think harmful things happening when you try to be halpful are a kind of warning reminder that the greatest good is the avoidance of causing harm. that a lot of harm and suffering in the real world really is caused by poorly thought out actions motivated often by the very best of intentions.

it is always good to WANT to help. but it is absolutely essential to think about what you are doing and how things actualy work. attempts to be helpful in real life often do end in disaster when people fail to do so.

seeing worst cases reveals failure modes to avoid. these can often, by analizing, be avoided. the failure modes themselves that is.

also the warning that you can't really expect to be appreaciated in a positive way even if what you do is more bennificial then harmful. that's just the way people collectively, though not always individualy, are.

it could also mean that you're trying to help someone who doesn't want your help and they're psychically pushing you away, perhaps out of fear of a situation becoming worse.
