last nite i took 2 codeine tabs, and it felt nothing about a half hour later, so i crushed up two more and drank them at about 10:00 p.m. At about 3 a.m. i woke up numb, and imediately began to throw up, very painfully and it reaked terribly. Would this be because i took too much? Or because i had some kind of allergic reaction. Imediately after i passed out and had terrible dreams. Idk if it was a result of losing all my water after throwing up or what. But it scared the shit outta me.

And your pills didn't have tylenol (acetophinomen) or anything in them, did they? THAT could be problematic, if there's enough in them. You can OD on it.

Other than that, though, if they were clean pills, it's just the reaction to the narcotic. All of my friends and I have gotten our wisdom teeth pulled recently, since we're all 17/18, and everyone has had some sort of nausea at some point due to the painkillers (we all got either hydrocodone [Vicodin] or oxycodone [Percocet]).

Just be careful about dosage. You don't need much of any painkiller to get a great, chill buzz. The NORMAL dose of hydrocodone got me quite high, if that's any indication for you.

The full/empty stomach situation is different for everybody. I only take Vikes on an empty stomach.. otherwise, I get really nauseous. A friend of mine is the exact opposite. Just figure out what's right for you.

That's the problem with pills though, you don't know if you've taken too many for a coupla hours...

Nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain are VERY common side effects of any opiate, and are more pronounced in codeine than some of the other opiates.
