To argue with ignorant hicks and rednecks. I've had to contend with jerks like these since I was freakin 5 years old. I know that you don't need to become involved with an arguement if you don't want to, but my urge to dissolve ignorance and sow compassion oftentimes lands me in futile arguements. I just want tgo travel, get away from all this bad karma in America. I want to just live and work in peace without feeling like a criminal for my progressive views. Thankfuly, my family shares my ideas, so I can at least trust them. I know this is sort of a strange rant, but I've just been thinking abot this latley.
I know what you mean. Its hard to get your veiw across to someone who is closed minded. I currently moved and I have had some really though times trying to put up with some redneck remarks. I try to tell them as calmly as I possibly can my veiw point. Although Im glad I moved its kind of hard for me to not get into arguments with people. But I fallow this....might be old but.... I can't change the world but I can change my self and others will fallow. Travel man get out of America if you want but theres a lot of people all over the world who have redneck opinions. And by redneck Im talking about racist homofobs.....who might as well be a member of the KKK! That bad. Its going to take time for people to change like anything change is hard progress! But hopefully like any change in the end it will be a good one.
Yeah man its pretty stupid and pointless. I also want to move to a place with less of it. Still another fourty eight years? In your opinion what happens in this time?
From this post, you're just as closed minded as any redneck. If you say that rednecks are racist homophobes, and should be in the KKK, than you are ignorant. I know plenty of rednecks, doesn't mean they have to be racist. Hell, I know a gay redneck, so look at yourself before making names towards others.
Did they not listen to your point of view or did they not agree? One does not have to agree to have heard you. To call them names for failing to conform to your thoughts is rather close minded then again all of the above is just my opinion. NOW AGREE AND RESPECT MY AUTHORITY!

For starters, when I say "rednecks" in the place I live, people are proud of it sometimes. Thats sort of disheartening. Now I know, you don't need to confront those who don't wish to hear your opinion, but ever since I moved from Palm Beach, I feel like a foreigner. And I am open minded, it may not seem that way from my post, but I was sort of depressed that day. Obviously I'm not going to like kill myself in despair, but I just wish everybody would stop bombarding each other with politics and caustic remarks. In these forums alone, I see people launch personal attacks for no reason. In a word, just live and let live. Each person should give equal time to evrery other person.
I guess what I said was ignorant. But what i meant by "redneck" I ment that they have rasict, homofobic coments that i just can't agreee with and I personally can't stand. That stuff pisses me off to the point where I go nuts almost. I know people have different opinions that conflict. But rasicm and homofobic comments are not okay with me.
