Any anime recommendations?

Looking for some recommendations. I really like Samurai style stuff nit like Nija Scroll, Samurai X etc etc.

 

samurai 7 is ok and samurai champloo, but here are my favoirtes Elfen lied is awesome, gantz the first season is pretty good but but after that it goes down hill, full metal panic is ok but not alot of action in the first couple eps of each season. Hellsing is a great vampire seires. ghost in the shell the movie and the show are good cyborgs in the future pretty trippy stuff also the underlaying message and the philosophy is cool

 

It's all about Sailor Moon. And Armitage, and Akira

You may like Amon Saga...

 

Gungrave, or berserk are both really good.

 

samurai deeper kyo is not bad either

 

Other than the ones mentioned, I would have to recommend Trigun, for it's comedy, and Fatal Fury, just because it's one of my personal faves. Or perhaps Cowboy Bebop or Wolf's Rain. None of them are samurai-ish at all though.

 

Uh, if you like all that samurai stuff we probably have very different tastes because i hate that really violent porno stuff

Anyway, to me, the following are good anime movies/shows with lots of depth and engaging storylines, and amazing visuals:
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Akira
Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke
Castle in the Sky
Porco Rosso (I'm a studio ghibli fan as you can tell by now)
Blood, the last vampire
Ghost in the Shell

Anyway spacer, if you haven't seen it already i definitely reccommend neon genesis evangelion because you seem like an existential kind of guy

 

Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 is the only anime that matters to me. :sunglasse

 

"Perfect Blue" is a must.

 

well if you like samori (sp) stuff then Otogi Zoshi is good

for others you should check out Fooly Cooly

 

Ranma 1/2 is pretty funny, i've watched from beginng to midway season 6 and im fairly impressed.

As far as I know I swore that Voltron was anime.....to an extent just somethin I read somewhere. IDK if I would call it anime or not. I do however know that disney made a movie called "Spirited Away" and that was a reeeeeeeally cool video if I do say so myself If you like chinese, japanese culture you might want to take a look at this video. I know that www.youtube.com has a video on there if you want to preview it

 

Samuri Champloo is a cool take on the whole samuri/edo period story.

I hate Anime absolutely hate it, its crap to my mind, its all flashy and pretty and the plot is complete and utter bullshit, sure its all mystical and shit but when ya got A bunch of mystical bullshit being produced by the truckloads its just repetative and honestly the Big eyes and Impossible hair cuts creep me the fuck out



But since i have to say one good thing....Afro Samurai, Its Short sweet, bloody Sexy Violent and Awesome, and all in 5 great episodes of Kick assedness, Not to mention the Amazing soundtrack produced by The RZA and the voice acting?....come on Samuel L Jackson

 

Tenchi is a must see also
