Unfortunately, economics can't be separated from politics. Anyone who says they can haven't studied political science and are talking out of their asses. It IS the sponsers, corporate and private, that help a politican get into office. How does a politican pay for their ads? Their lobbyists (unless they are multibillionares!)! Without ads, politicans wouldn't be known. Not many people look online at the websites of candidates to learn about them. The masses watch TV and see the ads and the debates and interviews. MANY people get their news from channels like Fox "News" which I don't consider even a real channel. Anyone heard of Dennis Kuchinich? He was my choice for Democratic candidate except he didn't have the big $$$ behind him. He couldn't pay for a lot of ads so no one heard of him and he only got about 4% of the vote. I believe that if a woman got some serious lobbyists behind her, she could become president. It's a matter of time... Peace & Love
All the presidents are places there by the elites anyway. If they saw fit to place a woman on the throne, so be it. She'd be just as much a mind-controlled pawn as every other president has been. The Annunaki (reptilians) are very obsessed with placing their bloodlines in power. They constantly interbreed with each other, and it is the women that matter to them. The women are the important ones for passing on the bloodline. This is precisely why women have been ignored throughout history. The men are recorded while the women were ignored. This made it very easy to pass on the reptilian bloodlines to all areas and keep them going without aknowledging that there were so many women from the same bloodlines close to the rulers of all areas of the world. Of course, male Annunaki have a large role to play as well. But I have only outlined that of the female role. And BTW, I would estimate that Hillary Clinton will be the elites' next pick for president. And interesting idea - every single president to win against his opponent in the history of the Unites States -- every one -- was the one who had the most ties to European Royalty. In this manner, if you know who's running, you can track it down and see who will win. Anyway, that was a tangent. However, I do believe that, were our leaders elected at all, you should elect the right person for the job, regardless of sex. We're all people. Women don't represent women and men don't represent men. We all represent people.
PMS and nuclear weapons are not a good mix. Seriously, if Condolesa Rice ran for office, I would definetely vote for her.
You are exactly right. The right media coverage and a large backing by big companies work wonders for your political career. Great point, mama.
Testoserone surging and the ability to bomb a county into oblivion at will and start a "conflict" which kills hundreds of thousands or millions and lasts for a decade or more are not a good mix. Just kidding.
We're only a baby step ahead of the anti-suffragists of England 19th century. That stuff still exists. They were right about some things (like men becoming more girl like and women become more masculine, but I don't believe in gender roles), but for the most part their arguements were stupid and lacked proof. People don't like it when women talk and are puffy. If a guy does it, its like "whatever, I guess I'll hurry up" but if a woman does it then "shes a bitch". Society is pathetic, and it will be a long time before we have a woman president at this rate.
Okay, only two posts have pointed to the exact problem that we face politically in this country: OUR POLITICS ARE NOT OUR OWN. This is most definitely, when you disect the system, a fascist state. Who pays for lobbyists? Who sponsors politicians with backgrounds that will help to benefit THEM? Who has been benefitting the most for so long while most citizens are the bare minimum of poltiical decisions? THE CORPORATIONS! It's the same reason why abortion, religion, and such hotbeds for debate are publicised so frequently in the media and on capitol hill. If they're telling you that they're debating those hotbed issues, you're less likely to ask "What about social medical coverage? What about the general welfare of all people? Why was FEMA not immediately responsive to Katrina victims? Why is Katrina still such a small issue on your platter when thousands are still suffering?" And while you're not asking those questions, there are midnight votes on bills and acts that don't get publicised that help further profit gains and such for big businesses, without much thought given to the employees, the consumers, the environment. And those same people are the ones picking the presidents, despite what any of us try to do in voting. The candidates given us are already pre-chosen! This government has already shown us how much it's failed us all. And with a major sense of apathy, or maybe it's ignorance of how politics are really working, most Americans sit idly by and DON'T do what we should be doing: Getting past our disagreements over issues that hotbeds for anger and hatred, and banding together to do what our forefathers would do: REVOLT AND REBUILD! It's a proven fact that most other nations had to go through several governmental systems before finding one that worked for the long haul, and still, even then, they had to rebuild once the system became inactive. We're past the breaking point in our society. Unless we all stop debating women's issues, abortion, religion, and such, and just fight for the best interest of us all, we're all doomed to be sacrificed to the altar of greed and big business. It doesn't matter if society wants for a woman president, a latino president, a black president, or even a yellow-polka dotted frog, WE'RE NOT GOING TO GET WHAT WE WANT FROM THIS GOVERNMENT! /rant And my opinions are based on experiences I've had, whilst job-shadowing and observing on Capitol Hill. Not just the psychotic rantings of someone that's done some paranoid research.
That is so true! Our entire political system is based on our economy! Why can't we give up this idea of "economic stablity" and consider for one minute that happiness might not be dependent on money and winning?
Nope. You should join with me, and every one else, and demand a new system be built with entirely new persons in charge. And build, from the ground up. This system is long overdue for a rehaul and it will not happen unless something dramatic happens.
so do you think we should tear up the constitution and start again...or just remove all in government?
We need a female president . Alot say Clinton in 08 ,but I dont know if I could vote for her. I don't think she is very honest. I think she knew her husband was cheating on her and because of her job she let that blow job slide! That was a slippery move on her part.
The Constitution has some very good ideals in it, it's a very strong work and I'd like to see at least the structure of the government intended in it to remain. My problems concerning the Constitution come from how easy some people find it to manipulate for their own purposes. Some things need to be more clearly defined, such as the freedom of speech. Yes, I think people should be allowed to say whatever they feel. But the moment their words trample on the pursuit of happiness of another person or group, they've gone too far. At least in my eyes, but I know that would need to be more clearly discussed by those we would put into governmental positions. As far as I'm concerned, most of the federal government, workers AND organisations, are corrupted by power and greed, and so therefore, a complete overhaul of the system is needed.
can you give me an example? i'm not sure what exactly you mean. i assume you'd want to end all corporate donations/lobbying?
it is easier to worry about 'happiness' when you arent starving or living in a cardboard box. An economy is extremely important.
I believe that in some ways, radical political and social groups such as the KKK (And I know this group well, having grown up in a town full of them) impede on the pursuit of happiness of others. (Example: MY hometown)When you have to give up going to football games because you're african american and the town refuses to stop flying the confederate flag, which makes you extremely uncomfortable because of the social and historical themes it carries (whether actual basis for the flying of the flag or not), I believe it's gone too far. My town had schools actually refuse to play us because of our mascot, school flag, team name, and school song. Our minority rate in my high school was about 325:25, favouring white children. Minorities would move to town and move away within the same month. And that, in my opinion, was very wrong. As far as lobbying and such, I don't believe in Laisse Faire governmental styles regarding business, but nor do I believe that anyone should be paid to harass congressmen and offer bribes and kickbacks to better organisations and corporations when there are more pressing matters at hand. Yes, our government should regulate business, but they should do it from the standpoint of the people, not the businesses.
