Gap year student traveling abroad with a bestfriend.

Quick question.. : How hard is it to find work (waitress, etc) without having a work visa in England, Italy, Greece?

    mmm well...
hard i think you're gonna get alotta; no we want half year contracts and you have to speak our language.
on the otherhand if you're in a big city, tourist season, you might get a job.

In England... it will depend on where you go. Bearing in mind that students will already be finding jobs for the summer, travellers on work visas would have already sorted one out and then you'll have to fight with all the British citizens aswell for a job. There's also the problem that cash-in-hand jobs are few and far between nowadays.

Our budget is too tight this year for a decent Europe adventure without having to worry about being downandout in a foreign land.

Decided to go for the roadtrip across the 'States

    Thanks for your comments though.
