    well i'm not so sure anymore just what WILL happen. a lot may depend on what happens in '08. if not before. all out war isn't a scenario anyone is looking forward to, other then end of the world fanatics who seem to have some sort of collective death wish. i don't think that's the way population implosion is going to happen either.

    but as for the u.s. millitary converting to alternative energy, i don't see this happening on a large scale unless the're being a lot more quiet about it then i'd likely give them credit for being able to be. not with the country itself dominated by oil interests.

    they are improving the effeciency of some of their tactics, 'intelligent' killer drones, that sort of thing.

    but i don't see evidence of large scale conversion to nondependence on oil or large scale preperations for having to in a hurry. i'm sure there are smart people at the pentagon who are worrying about this. but i'm not convinced anyone who makes final decisions is actualy listning to them.
