Just saw Leon for the third time.
He looked well, I think he's 64 years old now. Moving a little slow.
For those that don't know Leon has played keyboard with Jerry Lee Lewis, Phil Spector, The Rolling Stones,Glen Cambell, The Byrds, Gary Lewis, Herb Alpert, B. B. King, Eric clapton, Bob Dylan, and Willie Nelson.

The first time I saw him was in Pittsburgh about 35 years ago. The cops pulled his mike and pulled him from the stage when he stopped his set and started to verbally defend some poor soul they were dragging from the area for some reason or other. We waited among hoots and hollars for a while before he returned. I think the cops were afraid of a riot. He was playing a baby grand.
Can't remember if there was anyone else on the bill. Brought a Carney album but he wasn't signing.

This time they had the mix screwed up and he was hard to understand. Keyboard volume was to low also. But hey....!

Second time for Dave Mason. First was a couple years ago. He just gets better. 6o in May I think. Ex-cel-lant.
Got him to sign our old Alone Together album. This is the one that unfolds to three time its height and has the special brown marbleized pressing. Wonder if its worth anything?

Leon also played with George Harrison on Concert for Bangladesh (and did an amazingly awesome job!!)

Dave Mason also played with George Harrison. George did the slide guitar on "If You've got love"

Sorry.....I think of everything in Harrison terms....lol..

But I've always wished I could see Leon play live. He seems like he would be such an amazingly fun, funky show. I'm glad at least you got to. Where did you see him at this past time? I didn't even know he was still touring.

Just saw Leon in Harrisburg, Pa.

The last two shows I've seen he just walks on, waves, and goes right into his set. Doesn't address the audience at all except to intro the band. Plays one number after the other without stop just a very short pause between each. Then he just walks off.
Played for one hour, twenty minutes.
