Ok... Who's seen this? Most awesome reality tv show EVER... It was almost gutrenching to watch... phenominal... I think this show could really change the way alot of people think about racial issues...
i saw a commercial for that once, but i forgot which channel and time its on...need to find that out, it looks very interesting
I was a bit dissapointed. I was really pumped to watch it after all of the good commercials. When I tuned in though, I thought that it was told almost totally from the black perspective. I can understand this since Ice Cube is one of the directors. Most of the things the black people said was true but exaggerated. I thought the white man, Bruno, was hillarious. He was expecting people to come up on the street and call him a ****** haha. He also joked to his wife and said "Hie everything, we don't want the blacks stealing our things." Overall it was an alright show and I'm going to watch the next episode but it definitely wasn't what I expected.
I know, I'm planning on watching the second episode and possibly a few more. I would say it sort of is. Too much of the show was focusing on white's racism towards blacks rather than being balanced. Of course, blacks have definitely been discriminated alot more in the past and still today, so I understand. I just really felt that the father in the black family just had a shitty attitude about the whole thing and thought that white people hated him because of the way they looked at him. I wasn't looking for negativity, I was actually a bit excited about this show and expected something good. All of the crap that the father of the black family was spouting out just ruined it for me. He did say a few things I agreed with, but most of it I didn't.
I agree. Rose seems to be the only person on the show with any common sense. I would have been horrified if my mother embarrassed me in front of my friends the way Rose's mother did in last night's episode. Rose's mother isn't a racist, she's just a moron, and I'm sure that's part of the reason she was chosen for the show--to stir up shit.
I am officially sick of hearing, "what kind of job do you have negro?" I have to mute the commercial.
