We are a homeschooling family who would like to create a community farm here in Alberta.
We have lived in community before and would like to have folks who are interested in creating community and are pro homeschooling and creating a farm where we could become self sufficient and create a home based business to support our farm.
We would prefer folks who would not participate in drugs on the farm.
    Anyone interested?

That sounds like something I might like to be a part of. Would you require that the community members have experience in farming or be of a certain age? Also, what type of home based business did you have in mind?

Currently living in Calgary Alberta...I hd thought about creting a educational home based business, that would have workshops and retreats that way it could incorporate all members interests and hobbies as well as hopefully bring in aincome for the community.
I do not think that all members would have to have farm experience as we could share knowledge and research and also learn as we go...

we could work together and create an alternative school or learning center and have guest speakers etc. it would depend on members interests and hobbies.
I would like to have a garden and grow as much food as possible to live on.

    Anyone still interested?

    I wish you the best!

We have been thinking of moving out to Sask or Alberta for about a year now. That... or Alaska. My wife just finished school for early childhood education, and that was the only thing that was keeping us here. We want to get a small farm ourselves ;) We want to set a barn up for mushrooms and start focusing on them. Can start a nice internet business selling them which would allow us to be self employed :)

We have a son that is about to turn 4 and will be home schooling him. My wife wants to open a daycare, which is why she went to school. The new government is fucking all the province's "Liberal" daycare agreements in the next year or so, so she does not know what is going to happen with that. But she was more concerned about having the schooling to help her homeschool our son, so it works out.

I like New Brunswick, but need a change. I need a farm. I need to grow things. I already out grow the place we our at with all my various entheogens. I need something to dedicate myself to other than what I am... which is not much. We hope to be back out west by fall. Gonna go to the Quebec gathering this August since it is only 8 hours north of us. Can't wait!!!

I can not participate in most communities, as I have chosen to dedicate my life to practices that most do not understand ;) Practices and knowledge, that I hope to pass on to others, preparing for a dark future that will need a bit of enlightening! We quit looking for some place to go to and be a part of... a long time ago.

I hope you and your children find what you search for :)

    Az
