Do you watch Daily Show in America? (comedy central's or something) I'm kinda curious. If you do, what's your opinion about it? Does it really have impact or is it just another entertainment clown that secretly serves capitalism…? . . . *
I LOVE that show!! Especially "This Week in God" and "Back in Black"...hysterically funny. Supports capitalism?
Well, I thought that maybe it could be some kinda show that attracts the attention of the american people working as publicity of the government, but joking with it and attacking it… could be strategy… to distract the masses, what do I know, I don’t live there, that’s why I asked, things work different in Europe, I knew the show was well accepted, yes it’s hilarious, but I was doubting how far that humour and critic can be true, just that *
Its humorous and based in truth, its very popular here. I know in europe many countries television stations are run by the government, its not the same here. They can try to influence and regualte what they put on, but thats about it.
Well I've seen the hippies like it, that's ok then... Yeah seamonster that's what I thought, here we also have different channels for the same countrie, but of course behind each one there's a different political group, the stronger ones of course. I don't trust tv, as everybody noticed
Considerin that more people are gettin their news from satirical sources, it's becomin a respectable news program!
I love the Daily Show. What they really do is point out the absurdities of each day's current events, and there is plenty of absurdity these days. It is always funny and informative, and about once a week or sometimes maybe twice a week it achieves sublime brilliance.
The Daily Show is great, and its the most popular thing on cable in its time block. (I Think) Its satire, but I also think its pretty relevant, and I actually trust it as a real news source. It doesn't serve our evil capitalist overlords anymore then anything else on TV...
