Well, the time has come, I must depart, my rucksack's packed and I shall be heading off first thing in the morning. Actually, I tell a lie, my rucksack's not packed at all. I'll probably put that off till the first thing in the morning, and head off second thing in the morning instead. I'm off for a week's training down in Oxford, then for four weeks on the road, travelling with a team signing up donors for charities, including Greenpeace, Oxfam, Amnesty International and Wateraid, in a different town each day. I think it should be a good experience for me. A good way to earn money, meet like-minded people, travel and, in a small way at least, make a difference. With any luck I should be able to take a couple of days off for Beautiful Days. Alas since I'll be on the road, I won't really have any way to sell my ticket to anyone if I can't go, which is a shame. But if the worst comes to the worst, I've lost £60, it's not the end of the world. I may be back in five weeks, or I may carry on with Dialogue Direct after that, I'm not sure. Either way, I'll try to keep in touch and will miss everyone here. Look after the forum for me while I'm gone, if there's any trouble from nasty people, just PM Skip and he'll be able to sort it out. Have a great time at the gatherings over the summer, and don't do anything I wouldn't do... (ie. heroin or anal sex - but that's just my preference). If any of you feel like calling me while I'm away, I'll have my mobile with me, and it'd be great to hear from you, also you can email me, I'd love to read what everyone's been up to. All the best, and see you before the leaves turn brown... Peace, Peace Phoenix....
have a wonderfull time sal, and do try to get to beautiful days, i really want to meet you and have fun, good luck, i doubt i could manage to do something you wouldn't :H so don't worry!!!
Excuse my ignorance but are you travelling around the UK? Does that mean you could be coming to a town near us? Sounds pretty cool - think of all those one-night stands you can have Have a wicked time and don't forget to wash your underwear!!! (assuming that you have any.....*shudder* ) Sam
It's a possibility that I may (be coming to a town near you that is, not washing my underwear - perish the thought!) After Oxford, I don't know where I'm going, but if I'm in Glastonbury town, or nearby, I'll be sure to look you up....
Have a good time... I don't appear to have your mobile number... er, is this because I smell?... I'll email you some entirely made up gossip... possibly about anal sex... Take care... Fly... .
Well, this is it, I'm off now, see you all soon I hope, stay safe, and don't eat too much exotic cheese (Jonny told me to say that - well the bears did anyway). Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast....
Have a nice time salman, don't get too hot in those plasticey flexijackets they stick you in. Please don't stop me in Lowestoft, you know I'm too poor to donate!
Hey! I did that job (but not for Dialogue, for Fruitful who have recently gone bust) for year in Manc. It's not easy, but it's great learning about the charities, meeting your cool colleagues and getting to know places inside out. Just don't do it in the winter up north!
