I wouldn't tell my kids not to smoke, especially when I smoke. But if I found out they were smoking I would just let them. It's better for them to do it in front of me than not, plus then they could just come to me instead of dangerous drug dealers. But I wouldnt let them openly smoke pot until they were at least 15-16

This is a topic that comes into my mind every once in a while and something I am trying to prepare myself for. I smoke, but hypocritically I dont want my kids to. mainly because of the enviromnet they wil be in and what it can lead to. I saw first hand what happens to people who go all out and it aint pretty. My kids havent ever seen that side of the drugs world and nor would I want them too. Howvwer, if it was a straight choice beteween alcohol or weed then I would definately prefer them to smoke rather than drink.
When they get to 16 or so and I find out they are experementing, I like to think that I woud be that cool ass mom who says here girl, use my pipe, but in reality I will probably shit a brick and lock them in a tower until they are 30 :)

Ya I've always asked myself this question. I won't be like your 14 time to smoke weed (I started when I was 14, nearly 15)
But then I don't want my kids turning into misinformed goombas that are like drugs are bad and if you take them your brain will shut down and reset like a hard drive on the fritz.
So I think at 12 I'd probably tell my kid to ignore what they tell him in school about drugs and alcohol and use his own judgement and that most of the stuff they tell you is false, but that if he told his teacher I told him that I'd beat him to within an inch of his life.
I'd smoke in my house I mean its my house, but I wouldn't let my kids see, and if they did see, oh well.
I'd probably not tell them to do it or not to do it, but if they started smoking I'd supply them with weed, and I'd make sure they didn't smoke too much or at school.
I have some friends that parents do this, works well.
Infact my one friend barely ever smokes weed because he doesnt want to turn into his sister or mom, who smoke everyday and are about the slowest angriest people ever, truly unhappy stoners.

if they where older and in highschool and smoked i definitly wouldnt tell them no but i would tell them that this a very big deal and not to take it as a joke it can be somthing that can possabily mess them up for life, i would have them learn everything about marijuana they can even from the government side point of view and make them make up there own minds and if at any time i feel that they are not acting respoible about it then i wont allow it, and that if they touch my stash their dead ahah, i want to stay open about the whole drug topic my mother and my dads girl firend as VERY anti drug and its pretty sad, my dad is alot better on the subject and im happy he is open minded about it i think thats alot better then the anti drug aditude when raising a kid.

I couldnt possibly deny it to my kids if still smoke it when im an adult, i probably wouldnt either if i didnt smoke. I'd definately want my kids to expirience reefer, but Id want them to play it safe, start smoking later than i did (15+...maybe), and not wear it out as fast as I have.
