looking for some gentler hippie songs...

i'm making a compilation cd for a friend's young daughter, and i want to put some gentle lullabye type songs on it. the flowery stuff, not PF or the doors or anything, but not childish either. (no puff, please! haha)
for example, i've got "kiss at the end of the rainbow" by mitch and mickey.

if anyone can give me some suggestions they'd be much appreciated guys!

Maybe some Nick Drake? Or some soft Beatles songs. Oh, and maybe some of Syd Barrett's solo work.

The perfect album would be Donovan's album Songs for little Ones which features on the Gift from A Flower To a garden double album set.

Very similar is Vashti Bunyans just another Diamond Day album she was a mate of Donovan and sounds like a female hybrid of Donovan and Nick Drake and sings very gentle acoustic folk that often sound like lullabies

Also worth checking is American hippie folk lady Linda Perhacs who made an astonishing gentle psychedelic folk album called Parallelograms, like a trippy Joni Mitchell meets Karen Carpenter, gorgeous stuff

Another current favourite of mine is a late 60's early 70's british psychedelic folk act called Magna Carta who sound like a cross between Simon and Garfunkel and The Incredible String Band, they do some very pretty ballads songs like White Snow Dove, Elizabethan and The Bridge at Knaresborough Town that are the ones to check out.

Magic Carpet were also in the similar vein, they featured folk singer Alisha Sufit and classically trained sitar player Clem Alford and made some magical hippie folk in the early 70's

"Goin' Back" by The Byrds, in fact there's plenty of stuff to check out on the Notorious Byrd Brothers album that could fit this category,
