Ummm, they aren't freedom fighters. They're terrorists. It's not like they want Iraq to be a free country like we and most of the Iraqi people do.

 

I enjoyed that and agreed with most of what it had to say. The resistance isnt the terrorists, the invaders are. The whackjob suicide bombers are not part of the resistance, by and large. They are a part of the upcomming civil war between sunni and shi'ite that will occur in full blast a few years from now. A wartorn Iraq is a poor Iraq, and a poor Iraq sells for less. This is the ultimate goal of neoconservatism. Their wealth is based on poverty. Iraq was an easy target for them, but it will not be the last. Soon Iran, or perhaps Syria, they will want to weaken their opposition in the area before they launch a terror campaign aimed at making the entire region (save Israel) poorer than sub-saharan Africa. Why? because poor, abundant in natural wealth,
people make them rich.

 

its a shame that american foreign policy doesn't include more jaw, jaw, jaw instead of war, war, war. oh well someones eventually got to pay for all this high jinks in the middle east.
