The only thing I could suggest to make yer own patchwork pants is to patch a bunch of fabric together , get some muslin for lining, and cut it out to a pants pattern that you like, I'd start out with a pajama pant, those are usually the most comfy. Thats what I do really. Just have fun and relax while you sew peices together. Remeber its fun, give it a try !

Wow!! You give me inspiration. I been bored with sewing and that skirt is awesome, as is the dress. I made a patchy top but no skirt. Super job and even a nice big pocket. I love it!!

That is beautiful..one has to appreciate all the time, energy and love put into a skirt like that!

My scraps have been calling to me lately...they are overflowing!

Yeah thats the thing is if you talk about doing something w/ other folks I think the energy is out there, you just have to call to it and bring it on down. I've been sewing non stop since I posted this, (well besides eating sleeping and working :p ) and I've come up with some neat stuff. I'd love to see what you put together Cre! You always make pretty stuff :)

Speaking of being inspired, I made this this morning while my son was at school (the top):

When you made this, did you make the top part, and then add the white strip, and then sew the next portion with patches on? Or di you sew it up in one line up the back?

Just wondering about the construction of the skirt . . .

I really like the skirt you did. I think it turned out wonderfully. I have seen quite a few patchwork skirts but I like this one bc its unusual. Its not completely patchwork which is a nice twist to seein all patchwork dresses. Yahoo groups has a great site called hippiesew if you want to talk to any of the mamas there. They really know what they are doing in terms of sewing. I am a part of that group:) Great work though
