youll grow up soon, my friends used to love slipknot to death and said they were hella talented, then they heard music that actually has talented musicians and apologize to me for disagreeing.

^^I agree with Lamb of God and Pantera but when I said double bass i didnt mean guitar, I meant bass DRUMS. And slipknot's new stuff is like that, but their first two albums were great. Especially the first before they were tainted with all the money. As soon as they made a cd without explicit content, it went out the window.

 

ill admit when i was in 5th grade my friend gave me selftitled and i gave it a few listens and liked it for a few weeks, but then i just realized how repetitive it is, how annoying it is, and how fucking fake the lyrics are. Dont give me this 'they sold out' bullshit. theyve always sucked and think before you talk because i know their first album well (which sucks hard mind you)

Slipknot, Korn and Cold were the best matches that urbandictionary could come up with? Those are probably the top three most popular metal bands right now....the least they could do was name someone that not EVERYONE has heard of. Those three bands are great melodically and lyrically. Slipknot has slipped a little with this last album, but their old stuff still is the kicker of all that is ass.

Just because you dont like them doesnt mean everyone has to follow your opinions. Alot of people like them, which says that they are still popular. And they have to have some talent if Metallica had them open for them and have Joey Jordison playing drums to Enter Sandman. Oh and in Ozzfest. Just because slipknot isnt on your friend's list of metal bands doesnt mean they arent metal.

 

i said if you wanna listen to them go for it, i cant object to that, but im familiar with lots of metal music, and if slipknot is metal, good charlotte is punk, sublime is ska, matisyahu is reggae, and nelly represents the entire rap genre.


oh and if you havent noticed, metallica isnt really full of the most intelligent people.

metallica is bullshit, and this is a forum about slipknot. fuck lars ulrich! i used to really love slipknot, btu nto so much anymore... i guess iv just kind of moved on... their good metal though, ill give them that... the lyrics are pretty good too. they premote anti christian thought, and overal anti religiouse ideologies, wich i find good. correy tailors other band stone sour also kicks ass.

Um I like Slipknot, quite a bit.

They aren't a band, I listen to in my car and the like... but their shows are amazing, and fucking FUN. I saw them in concert thrice, and it was some of the best times in my life
