Hi all, I am looking for some info on Varaha, the boar incarnation of Vishnu. I have found some online resources and am quite interested in learning more, so I was just wondering if anyone had any more personal stories to share or things you have heard that I might not find elsewhere, thanks! (From what I understand, Varaha is the third incarnation of the "10" primary Vishnu avatars, and he took the form of a boar, dove to the depths of the ocean, where the world had sunk, and lifted it (or her, Mother Earth) out on his tusk...)
I think Sri Prabhupada's translation of the bhagavatam deals with this adequately, if yo can look past the Hare Krishna rhetoric... http://www.srimadbhagavatam.com/3/13/en
