Should I cut my Dreads for Court ?

just curious~~~ considering this post started in september and it's now march~~~ does anyone know if she:
a.) cut her hair
b.) went to court
c.) even gives a shit about this thread
i hate when people start a thread & then don't even respond to everyones input- to me thats bad karma.
anyway, i would not cut my hair to conform.

NO DONT DO IT!!!! i just finally got mine to stay after 3 attempts and i love them!!!! they already have you down in the records as having dreads, so why change it...they're expecting dreads so GIVE THEM DREADS!

is this a joke? why would she have to cut her hair for court. thats the most rediculas thing ive heard. even if u looked like a bum who lived in a dumpster, and u were. u still have rights. ur judgement has nothing to do with what u look like. this is america duhhh land of the free. the KKK can march infront of the whitehouse legally if they wanted...people have the right to be individuals. if a muslim lady wanted to wear her hood in court she could. doesnt matter if your a king in another country or a peasent from egypt. upper class middle class lower class all have equal rights and u can be who u are. theres freedoms everyone. i hope this thread was a joke..

Cut your fucking hair to stay out of jail. You're not proving anything or teaching any judge a lesson by showing up with dreads.

Anyone who says differently hasn't really done it.

And everyone who says that they can't judge you based on your looks is so incredibly naive that I am stunned.

It is shallow, immature, and vain to value your hairstyle over your freedom.

wear your dreads also make sure you have a strong marijuana odor on you this well help the Judge even more .

Find out about the judge, if you can, then decide. I live in a small town, and some judges are well known for being very strict and, well, judgemental. You may be sticking it to the man by going with the dreads, but the truth is not all judges are completely unbiased based on appearance. In fact, they can be real dickheads. Then again, the description's in the police report already, so, it's a tough call. In any case, good luck.

 

They're people so they are judging other people on their looks ...

 

If you love them, keep them man. i don't think you should because you got caught for drugs, so it's not like they don't know you do them and its not as if a hair cut will change that they know. it's enough of a bummer that you have to go to court, why make things worse? what ever you choose to do i wish you the best of luck
