I play on a recreation team for baseball. I could easily make the high school team, but I guess I'm a bit lazy. I just went to the last game of my season, tweaking. I wasn't sure how I would do but I suprised myself. When I start warming up my arm was too loose. I don't know how it got that loose but there was no tension at all. My friend showed me his curveball. It curves a lot but it seemed like it was curving too much so I decided to wait on that. However, I finally figured out how to throw the perfect curveball. By the second inning I had figured it out and by the end of the game I had mastered it. It's like the easiest curveball to throw too which is always good. So do you any of you play baseball? Feel free to post anything related to baseball (as in baseball that you're involved in not current MLB standings). Peace
I love baseball! I'm a pitcher too. I throw a fastball, changeup, splitter, and curve. They are all pretty good, except my curve could be faster. I didnt play on my high school team. Theres a rule saying that if youre caught with drugs, the team has a third of its games forfeited. But in 8th grade I made the varsity team, that was cool. I pitch almost everyday, till recently. Im having a hard time throwing with my sunburn. And, on August 3rd(or 4th) Im going to an Atlanta Braves tryout camp in Eau Claire. should be fun.
i dont play baseball id like to try but theres nowhere to do it in my town which sucks i live in a really small town in the south of england REAL BORIN
I could go on about baseball forever. That would happen if there was a Sport or Baseball Forum but there isn't so I'm s.o.l. My little pitching might not seem to spectacular but here's why I thought it was amazing. First off I started the season as the main catcher. I was the best catcher but when my friend joined the team he was just as good as me. I don't care who is better because he's a nice guy. There is a problem going from playing catcher entire games to all of a sudden going a couple games without catching at all. I never thought anything bad could happen until I tried to pitch. This was the first game I had pitched all season. I never realized that I was throwing horribly wrong. Basically I might have thrown a couple strikes that night but I think I probably totalled less than ten strikes pitching through almost all of their line-up. So I'm playing catch with a couple of my friends and one told how that I was throwing really wrong. It's not that I didn't know how to throw properly but I didn't throw properly when catching and I caught so much so I basically forgot how to throw right. Now between the time I learned to throw right and the game I pitched maybe two inning. This isn't counting this game. I enevr really practiced any more and our team doesn't have any practicing. So my coach tells me that I'm starting. I had gotten a little better at pitching but not to spectacular. Now tweaking must have really done something. Because the first inning I threw really well. My only pitch was a four seam fast ball though. But for soem reason it was curving enough to be noticable even though I was trying to curve it at all. So by the end of the second I figured out how to throw a awesome curveball. I threw it kind of like a four seem fast ball but I rotated the ball a little. Note that I also threw it the right way for it to curve. This other guy on our team wasn't a good pitcher but could throw a mammoth curveball. He showed me his way and I could throw it easily but I couldn't control it. So the third and fourth come and go around. Durving these innings I increased my control and learned how to control the ammount of curve it gets. And like it doesn't just curve a little it curves a lot. I have no idea how I did it but I perfected it by the end of them game. Now it might not be that impressive but I had been trying forever to learn how to throw a curveball. I tried all the grips that everyone showed me. I even tried to learn off the net. I could never get it. What amazes me most is that my four seam fastball was curving. Like I held it where it shouldn't curve at all. But somehow it did. Since I play on a rec team we're not that good. But other teams in our league are good. They are a lot of good pitchers but I've never seen a curveball in our league even close to the one I had figured out. Oh well, at least I have soemthing now so I can try out next year for the high school team. But to sum it all up, Adderall XR and baseball make a nice mix. Oh I realized during the game that it pointless to learn other people's curveballs because they might curve for them but unless you throw the same way, it probably won't curve for you. Because the fingering of your curveball greatly depends on how you release it. I don't care if this isn't impressive because it makes me feel good . Peace
this is very long..i just woke up an hour ago geeez gimme a break but anyhoo baseball is fun...i suck at all sports but baseball is fun the last time i played it was in gym..i liked my team we were all losers and we made fun of the other teams in class that freaked out because they jusst HAD TO WIN! ...but yeah we won most of the games because we were nice people and did not care for winning but like said i suck at baseball..i cant imagine playing after i smoked...haha thatd be funny actually im gonna try that
Yeah, are rec team is horrible but it's not because we have horrible players. I'm pretty sure each year since fourth grade we have lost one, two or three of our really good players. And our coach will get new players. Some happened to be good, some decent and others not that good. Our coach is the type of guy who takes anyone on a team which isn't really the main problem but it makes us kind of have a disadvantage to teams whos coaches don't take the bad people. I think our main problem the last couple years is that because our team is constantly changing we have to constantly get use to new players. This year was the worst. Unlike all the previous seasons, we couldn't get a field to practice on once the season started. And we ended up only having like two practices total. This year we acquired a number new players. Almost all of these players were less than good. But since we don't have practices they really don't get much better. And since we have so many more bad players than the other teams in league our fundamentals are horrible and they never improve. So even if we have game where we have excellent pitching, since most people don't field well we end up giving the team extra outs. Like today we had one of the best pitching days all year. I only walked two guys and the rest were strike-outs or hits. The thing is that most of these hits were easy outs but we couldn't pull it together so we end up losing. Another big problem is that two years ago we had two excellent pitchers. We never worried about pitching because they could complete almost every game without needing extra pitchers. One of the pitchers left. So last season we basically only had one pitcher. He started ever game and was one of the best in the league. Some people tried pitching but it wasn't that big of a deal because our starting pitcher could complete almost every game. This year he somehow lost his touch. He didn't pitch bad but he didn't have the ability he had to over power the batter. His pitching hadn't improved much from the previous season and he forgot how to throw his curveball. He still threw good but he was a lot easier to hit. So I often feel like leaving the team but hey I guess I've been use to playing with the people that I don't mind losing. I am hoping that I'll be able to make a high school team, which I should be able to do just fine, so I can really play.
that was interesting, but heres some tips for your curve. Youre not supposed to use your elbow, or wrist, to make it curve. Do taht and your arms gonna get fucked up. Heres how I throw mine: well fuck, I cant explain the grip. I cant do it with any pitch. but, when I throw it, instead of my palm facing forawrd like it is when I throw any other pitch, have it turned inside(facing your left). but dont have it facing left the whole time. when you wind up your arm, your hand will go in somewhat of a semi circle, dont force it to go any other way. when your hand passes by your head, instead of stopping it have it keep going, and when you release the ball make it so your index finger is pointing towards the catcher. that shit will drop like it fell off a table. If you dont understand this, or if youre left handed, sorry I cant be much more help.
