"Pilgrim at Tinker Creek" by Annie Dillard. It is amazing, such beautiful reading, even though it doesn't really go anywhere. It's nature writing, reflective and poetic; slow reading because it is so inspired that it makes you pause and think pretty often.

I'm also reading "The Unexpected Universe" by Loren Eiseley. He was a scientist who had a well developed literary sense, so his writing is also pretty thoughtful. He makes science poetic, which is excellent. I recommend checking him out, I liked "The Star Thrower" by him the best, so far from what I've read, it's a bit of an athology I guess.

I'm currently reading a great book called "God And The Evolving Universe". It's an incredibly insightful book which discusses the evolution of spirituality within us as individuals and in our society as a whole. I strongly recommend it!

its good, and he's a visionary and all that, but i swear if this guy was a comedian he'd talk for three hours to set up a one liner
