    Effexor 150mg's

I have a bottle of these.

I WAS TOLD, they were stimulant based anti-depressents and they might be usefull for recreational use.

Effexor (generic: venlafaxine) is not typically considered a stimulant, though some users may notice a mild stimulant aeffect. Effexor has the phenylethylamine core, but that molecular feature does little to predict the psychotropic action. It is classified as a dual action anti-depressant because it is an agonist at both serotonin and norepinephrine receptors ( heteroreceptors). I have taken this drug and found no recreational value other than as a moderately effective, albeit low potency anti-depressant. In mega doses their is likely to be a some effect on dopaminergic pathways, but this does not predict that it would be fun, safe, or worthwhile. In all likelyhood it is not useful recreationaly other than (perhaps) as an alternative to an SSRI used after a roll.

I've been on Effexor for like six months or something, and I've never gotten high off them...I'm up to 300mg a day and I've exceeded that amount just to see if it would do anything, but nothing. The only way I can tell it's even affecting me at all is that if I miss a few doses, I start to feel weird like 'light' but not neccessarily in a good way and I get a headache, and when I take the pills again I usually feel better.
